3.Discussion/Action on the Contract with Schindler Elevator Corporation to Provide Statewide Elevator Maintenance Services for Department of Education Buildings

Ms. Knudsen moved, and Mr. Watanabe seconded, that the Board approve the contract with Schindler Elevator Corporation to provide statewide elevator maintenance services for Department of Education buildings, in the amount of $130,315.64, effective May 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007; provided that services shall be provided until June 30, 2010, contingent upon available funding, as discussed.


The motion carried unanimously with Dr. Ahu Isa, Mr. Ching, Ms. Cochran, Ms. Cox, Mr. Harimoto, Mr. Heftel, Ms. Knudsen, Ms. Matsumoto, Ms. Robinson, Mr. Vierling, Mr. Watanabe, and Mr. Yee voting aye. There were no nays and no abstentions.
